A limited number of additional papers will be accepted for presentation within each track. Some will be accepted as alternates.  In the event of a cancellation by an accepted presenter, an alternate will be contacted to fill the space.  Alternate selection will be at the discretion of the Program Committee.

Selections for presentations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Applicability: relevance of the ideas and/or techniques to other conference attendees
  • Originality: new or advanced application of an existing practice or presentation of a new idea
  • Soundness: thoroughness of explanation, assumptions are reasonable, techniques used appropriately
  • Organization: organization of logic, clarity of definition for problem and/or objective, clear explanations
  • Comparative Quality: overall quality and value relative to other applications submitted

All selection decisions by the Conference Planning Committee are final.  Abstracts accepted for presentation and/or publication are subject to editing for clarity and space considerations by IIE.

Please note that conference speakers are not paid or reimbursed for travel expenses. However, the primary presenter will receive a discounted conference registration fee of $375.00. All speakers are required to submit a PowerPoint presentation by SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 for inclusion on the conference CD proceedings and must pre-register for the conference or they will not be allowed to participate on the program.

Thank you for your interest in the IIE'S Operational Excellence Conference.
