Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems
(SAGEEP)

Terms of Abstract Submittal

  • A $50.00 abstract submission fee for SAGEEP 2009 will be assessed at the time of abstract submission (you will be invoiced by the EEGS business office unless you use the online payment option). This fee will be applied toward SAGEEP 2009 registration if the manuscript is accepted and presented at SAGEEP 2009. (If the abstract or manuscript is not accepted, the fee will be returned.) If the paper is accepted, but you do not register for the symposium, the fee is non-refundable. You can pay online by accessing
    https://www1319.oemgrp.com/wmrden/sageep/abstractregister.html

  • By submitting your abstract and the $50.00 submission fee by the Sept. 19, 2008 deadline, you are agreeing to participate in SAGEEP 2009 with an oral or poster presentation.

  • All provisionally accepted abstracts must be followed by a full manuscript (except for those submitting an abstract for the special Student Poster Session – see next bullet item). Abstracts without a paid submission fee (or a postmark) by close of business Sept. 19 will be withdrawn from the conference. Those abstracts without full manuscripts by the December 12, 2008 paper submission deadline will be withdrawn from the conference.

  • SAGEEP 2009 will highlight student research and applications in a special Student Poster Session. To be considered for this inaugural Student Poster Session, an abstract not to exceed 200 words, is required. Deadline for the abstract submission is December 12, 2008 and the $50 abstract submission fee is required at time of submission (you will be invoiced by the EEGS business office unless you use the online payment option and the fee will be applied toward the Conference Registration fee).

  • All abstracts (approximately 200 words or less) and manuscripts are subject to review. Inappropriate papers, those lacking scientific merit, or those with excessive commercial advertisement are subject to rejection at any stage of the review process.

  • If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter the U.S., please ensure that you start the process of obtaining any required travel documents in a timely manner.
