ABOUT WEPAN Proceedings
WEPAN (Women in Engineering Programs and Advocates Network) is a non-profit organization dedicated to achieving equity in the engineering workforce. WEPAN's mission is to be a catalyst,
advocate and leading resource for institutional and national change that enables the success of all women in engineering. Visit www.wepan.org to read more on WEPAN's new strategic plan.
WEPAN Proceedings are archival and peer reviewed, published by WEPAN, Inc., annually as a part of the
National Conference. WEPAN holds the copyright to the Conference Proceedings for the
2006 WEPAN National Conference.
WEPAN encourages dissemination of information first published in the Proceedings
through other papers, presentations, books, etc. In each case, the author (s) must acknowledge WEPAN as first publisher and cite the original publication fully. (See example below).
Information for authors and those citing papers in WEPAN proceedings.
Papers published in the WEPAN proceedings have been subjected to a two-stage refereeing process by
multiple reviewers. Authors initially submit a paper abstract that is reviewed by reviewers with appropriate expertise. If an abstract is accepted, authors submit a complete paper that
undergoes a separate review process again by reviewers with appropriate expertise. Papers are either accepted as is, with minor or major revisions or rejected.
The resulting overall paper acceptance rate for 2006 was 70%.
Lastly, the following is an example of an appropriately formatted APA style citation to a WEPAN
proceedings paper.
