Yes, most conferences choose to get their badges pre-printed with color artwork and designs; however, it’s not necessary. If you use blank stock, we can print logos and designs on your badge on demand, though this will be in black and white, which is a more cost-effective badge printing solution, especially for small events.

Yes, you have two options. We can print a visual indicator, such as placing the word “EXHIBITOR” at the bottom of the badge, to help identify exhibitors from regular delegates. The badge will print immediately in black and white when the exhibitor checks in to have their badge printed. Alternatively, we can prepare multiple color versions of your badge and load the stock into various printers. When an exhibitor checks in at a kiosk, their badge will be automatically printed from a printer with the “exhibitor stock” in a special color. The same concept can be applied to multiple badge types, such as members, guests, 1-day only, media, etc. Keep in mind that doing this will result in the need for some extra printers and, therefore, cost.

Using our direct thermal printers, it’s extremely fast, typically around 1-2 seconds, depending on the size of the badge. It’s pretty fun to see your attendees’ reactions and ease while checking in and picking up their badges.

You can either have visual identifiers printed on the badge, such as codes for lunches (L), allergies or food preferences (GF), or for things like clothes, etc. If you want physical tickets to be printed, for things including drink tickets, we can also help with this. Either we can print physical tickets immediately after the badge prints on the same stock as the badge, or we can set up a separate “ticket printer” that will print separate tickets from another printer for the attendee as they pick up their badge. We can also provide custom badge stock that includes smaller perforated tickets on an extra sheet of badge stock that is printed. If an attendee has purchased a guest pass, their guest’s badge will print sequentially after their badge (and tickets) are printed.

No, but it is recommended that you have one hard line of internet fed to the main registration area, and a general wifi network to connect the laptops to. We can provide a fully networked solution that includes a self-hosted wireless router that runs dual broadband 4G SIM cards, to create your own registration network. You can then connect your printers and your iPads to this dedicated network. It is a good idea to have a backup line of internet at the desk for the printers, but if this is cost-prohibitive, we can supply a wireless router to make the solution function without any hard internet lines.
